- Shore A Hardness: Approx. 10
- Tensile Strength: Approx. 4.0 MPa
- Tear Strength: 23–24 kN/m
- Linear Shrinkage: 3% (slow speed catalyst)
- Catalyst Blend Rate: 3%
- Pot Life at 3%: 2–20 minutes
- Set/Cure Time: 3–28 hours
- Best Working Temperature: Approx. 20°C (warmer temperatures accelerate cure)
Please note: Increasing catalyst percentage may increase shrinkage, noticeable only in very large moulds.
Suitable For: Soap moulds, candle moulds, resin moulds, jewellery moulds, plaster casting, cement and sandstone reliefs, fishing lures, model kits, collectibles, trinkets, toys, pot plant moulds and more.
Key Benefits:
- No heat required — sets at room temperature

- Smooth viscosity with minimal air bubbles
- Excellent fine detail reproduction
- Long pot life with new catalyst formula
Please note: Express shipping is not available for this product due to the catalyst.
INSTRUCTIONS Please print these instructions for use when your silicone arrives. We update these here to ensure you always have the most current version.
Step 1 — Prepare Your Master Any medium is suitable except silicone. Create a wall around your master using cardboard or Lego bricks. Secure the master to the base (a hot glue gun works well) to prevent floating. Ensure there are no gaps in your wall.
Step 2 — Mix the Silicone Open the container and stir extremely well. If lumps are present at the base, blend until smooth — discard any lumps that cannot be fully incorporated. The silicone will initially appear thin, then thicken slightly as you mix. Continue mixing until it thins again. Do not add the catalyst until this thorough mixing is complete, as insufficient mixing can drastically reduce pot life. If using less than the full 1kg, re-mix very well each time before use.
Step 3 — Add Catalyst (and Optional Colour) To colour: mix mica into the catalyst first, then add to the silicone. This also helps you see when the two components are fully blended.
Add catalyst at 3% (beginners: start with 100g silicone at 2% to practice). Mix thoroughly — any unblended pockets will not set. If this occurs, leave for up to 3 days as it may blend through, though thorough mixing is always preferred. If your catalyst is older, use 1–3% as older catalyst sets more quickly.
Step 4 — Pour Have your master and surrounds ready before adding the catalyst. Pour the silicone in a thin stream over the top of your master, allowing it to flow upward from underneath — this fills crevices and prevents air bubbles. Fill until the master is completely covered.
Step 5 — Release Air Bubbles Use a skewer or metal fork to gently stir and poke down the sides, releasing any trapped air bubbles to the surface where they can be popped.
Step 6 — Cure Work time is approximately 5–10 minutes before the silicone becomes sticky. Allow to fully cure for 5–24 hours.
Step 7 — Demould Once fully set, peel away your surrounds and pop out your master. Wash the mould with warm soapy water. Your mould is now ready for repeated use.
Additional notes: Suitable for impression mats. Do not pour silicone directly onto silicone as they will firmly bond together. Pouring over plastic or lace cloth is generally fine. To minimise air bubbles, use less catalyst — the slower setting time allows bubbles to rise more easily.
Safety: Wear gloves and eye protection at all times. Do not allow catalyst to contact skin or eyes. If contact occurs, flush immediately with water. If eye contact occurs, seek medical attention promptly. Always test a small amount first to determine suitability for your intended purpose.
