 Fossilised Sea Sponge 520gms Extremely rare Genuine Gems Gemstone. Museum Piece

  • VARIETY: Fossilised Sea Sponge 
  • SPECIAL FEATURES:  Extremely rare Genuine Gems Gemstone. We had another similar but slightly larger piece which was donated and is on display at the Melbourne Museum
  • SIZE: 110 x 40 x 80mm
  • WEIGHT: 520gms
Please note I am a gemmologist, however, I am not an expert in fossils, I have taken it to be assessed and they recommended the above name, however this is to the best of my knowledge and I cannot guarantee it to be accurate.

That being said it is one of the most perfect and beautiful specimens I have seen.
From my fathers personal collection - very rare, these pieces do not come up often and whilst I am not entirely certain of its authenticy - he owned one of the largest mineral businesses in Australia, had factories around the world and attended all the world shows, only bringing back pieces that were truly special.
